Boating and Fishing

A five-lane concrete launch ramp is available at all water levels for fast launching and a convenient boarding float is located on the ramp to assist in easy access to your boat.

Water skiing can be enjoyed all year on most of the lake and most inflatable water toys are permitted.

Two floating restrooms, aptly named the S.S. Reliefs, help make your day on the lake more pleasurable. Personal Watercraft are prohibited!

Segregated areas for high-speed boating and fishing have proved to be very popular. During the summer season, swimming is available in our designated swimming area. Lots of imported sand make the beach area a relaxing place to lay in the sun or take a dip in the water.

Note: The state of California now requires all boats to have a 10-minute inspection for mussels before entering the lake. We have a tagging program in place so customers who only put their boat in at Lake Piru can avoid this inspection on future visits. Learn more here.
